About the role:

The Assistant Manager Distribution Planning will fill in a key role in the Channel Planning unit. This role helps to harness the strength of distribution footprint and capability at the retail level, to enable our customers to reach the marketplace, through the retail channel. In this role, you will be the custodian for the nationwide franchise channel and formulation of the national distribution strategy.

Your Impactful Goals will include:

• National distribution strategy formulation and execution plans based on population, demographics, sites, and business ambitions.

• Custodian for the nationwide franchise and retail channel

• Use of data science and data analytics for best distribution practices to optimize improve efficiency of the distribution channel.

• New and current product commissioning business cases and policy generation.

• Custodian for the franchise agreements and policies.

• Monthly Distribution KPI & Target Setting nationwide.

• Driving distribution strategy and generating insights and solutions for distribution gaps.

• Identify new areas for improvement and operational efficiency.

Your typical day at work

• Responsible for annual & monthly distribution KPI & target setting nationwide.

• Tracking of all distribution related KPI performance

• Benchmarking of best distribution practices across Emerging Asia Cluster

• Providing performance business insights to stakeholders which helps make better business decisions.

• Foreseeing the challenges and their impact on business and suggesting ways to overcome them.

Eligibility Criteria

Education: MBA/BBA or related fields

Work experience: Extensive experience in roles with P&L responsibility and channel/operations, preferably in a channel planning role in telecom or FMCG sector.

Functional Areas/Knowledge Areas:

• Demonstrated ability to take initiatives and ensure thorough execution of projects. Strong communication & negotiation skills

• Strong understanding of Telco and Branchless Banking market dynamics with respect to sales as well as distribution operations

• Analytical skills and the ability to derive meaningful decisions out of data and fact- based information.

• Good relationship management skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Database Tools (SQL & Python) & Power point
